Is this for you?
We’d love to hear from you if:

- You’d like to celebrate an adoption
- You’d like to commemorate a baby who was lost
AND
You live in the Fife Council area and have room for at least a small tree to grow in your garden.
Choose your tree
Every tree tells a story. Pick the one that feels right for yours.
Cherry Plum
An early bloomer, covered in delicate white blossom each spring — a joyful, hopeful start. Reaches around 8–10m if left to grow freely, but responds well to pruning and can easily be kept smaller or grown as part of a hedge — a good choice for compact gardens.
Spindle
Known for its vivid pink and orange autumn colour, spindle is a quiet showstopper once it settles in. One of the smallest options on offer, typically growing to just 3–6m, making it ideal for smaller gardens or planting close to a boundary.
Rowan
Traditionally linked with protection and good fortune, rowan brings clusters of bright red berries loved by birds. Grows in a neat, upright shape rather than spreading wide, so it doesn’t overwhelm a smaller plot or cast heavy shade, even though it can eventually reach 8–15m.
Field Maple
Fife’s own native maple – hardy, elegant, and glowing gold in autumn. Slow-growing and tolerant of pruning, it can be kept well-shaped in a garden setting for many years, even though it’s capable of reaching greater heights over a long lifetime.
Not sure what will suit your space?
As a rough guide – Choose spindle for the smallest gardens, cherry plum or rowan for an average-sized garden, and field maple if you have a bit more room or don’t mind pruning as it matures.
