Willow fedging and sustainable garden structures

Willow fedging and sustainable garden structures

Event Information

Join Duncan Zuill from Bat's Wood SCIO for a hands-on workshop exploring how willow can make gardening more climate-friendly.

Discover how to grow, harvest and use this remarkable renewable material in your own garden. We’ll explore living willow, propagation and coppicing, and practical alternatives to plastic and manufactured garden products. You’ll get plenty of opportunity to cut and work with willow, learn simple building and weaving techniques, and leave with ideas for your own sustainable garden projects - and a few free cuttings!

A plant-based lunch is provided (although you can bring your own if you prefer), and we'll break at about 1pm. Indoor shelter available!

The ground is likely to be muddy and uneven. Please bring a raincoat and wear suitable shoes for outdoor work. If you have your own gardening gloves, you can bring those along too.

Parking: Back car park at Levenmouth Academy, KY8 1EA. Accessible parking is also available here.

Toilets: Limited, inconvenient but available.

Registration is free but places are limited - please sign up by emailing caf@taypportgarden.org
