Winter tree pruning workshop – Buckhaven
Event Information
This workshop will be led by Lynsey Payne and supported by CLEAR staff. Meet at CLEAR workshop at 47 Sandwell Street Buckhaven, KY8 1BZ. The workshop will be hosted at our Buckhaven Growing Space, Omar Crescent, Buckhaven, a short walk from the main workshop.
This workshop will take place in the Buckhaven Growing Space and Orchard. Enjoy a walk around the garden and orchard as Lynsey Payne explains the different forms that trees can be pruned into, including, fans, cordons and step-overs. Lynsey will demonstrate how to prune fruit trees, the Buckhaven Growing Space has a wide range of fruiting trees to learn from. There will be a chance to practice on your own.
This event is suitable for beginners. This event will be outdoors with some undercover shelter. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing for the weather. Gardening gloves are available if needed.
Strong gardening gloves are recommended. Equipment will be provided but bring your own secateurs and pruning saws if you have them.
Coffee/tea and snacks included. A healthy lunch will be provided after the event if required, please let us know of any allergies.

There is wheelchair access to Buckhaven Growing Space and Orchard.
There are composting toilets available at the garden.
Parking is available on Sandwell Street, you then walk down Omar Crescent to the garden.
