Fife’s Gardens: Planting for the future workshop
Event Information
Learn how to plan ahead to help you adapt your garden to Fife’s future climate.
This workshop will be led by Dr Liz Lakin, an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Dundee and former Academic Lead for the Living Lab at Dundee Botanic Garden. Callum Halstead, Head Gardener at Cambo will take us on a tour of the Garden and tell us about the plants they are using for resilience to changing weather events.
Learn how plants adapt and how key plant processes such as germination, reproduction and seed production are affected by Fife’s changing climate. We will look at how your own garden can be adapted so please bring an A4 or A3 rough map of your garden.
There will be a mixture of discussion and activities to ensure you go away inspired and confident to make changes in your own garden.
