Waste Futures Kirkcaldy Gathering

Waste Futures Kirkcaldy Gathering

Event Information

Tap into your imagination and explore how we can collectively shape Kirkcaldy’s own story of a resilient tomorrow.

Join us for a half-day gathering exploring how art, science and community knowledge can reframe waste cultures to drive positive change.

This event focuses on the UK’s increasingly visible legacy coastal landfill sites, exposed by coastal erosion and exacerbated by climate change.

Through art making, research and discussion, we will examine what these sites mean for coastal environments and the people who live alongside them.

The day brings together artists, cultural managers, environmental and heritage specialists, policymakers and local communities.

Accessibility

This event is wheelchair friendly and there is accessible parking available on site.
