The Landfill Reenactment Society
Event Information
Join artist and technologist James Wright and the Landfill Reenactment Society to create non‑human characters inspired by buried waste and become part of a living digital landscape shaped by predictive scientific data. Using volumetric video and real time visual programming, physical bodies and handmade masks merge with a living digital projection.
Through a collective reenactment of both past landfill legacies and speculative tomorrows, participants will embody the more than human forces shaping our shores. This shared performance translates the slow surrender of a sea shore, the projected rush of rising seawater, and the future unearthing of past waste into physical movement.
It is an immersive exploration of coastal resilience, asking how communities might physically feel, anticipate, and rehearse the ecological transformations yet to come. No experience necessary - just a curiosity about our changing coastline and a willingness to get immersed. This is a free ticketed event. Please book to help us manage numbers and to avoid disappointment.
