Signs and Signals

Signs and Signals

Event Information

What kinds of messages can we read on a beach that tell us more about the effects of climate change and historic dumping of waste? What messages might we want to leave?

Who or what are the messages for? How and what might they communicate?

Join artists Minty Donald and Nick Millar for a guided walk along Seafield beach. Through gentle, hands‑on activities, we’ll notice waste, changing shorelines and signs of climate change. Using a mix of materials – including items found on the beach – we’ll create signs and communication devices for humans and other beach-users in the near and distant futures.

No previous experience or special skills needed!

This is a free ticketed event. Please book to help us manage numbers and to avoid disappointment!
