Seafield to Dysart Harbour Guided Cycle Ride

Seafield to Dysart Harbour Guided Cycle Ride

Event Information

The cycling team at Greener Kirkcaldy lead this easy 6.3 miles bike ride as part of Beach of Dreams. It’s expected to take about an hour and is suitable for all fitness and skill levels.

We’ll meet at Seafield Beach car park at 11.30am ready for a 11.45am/12noon start. The route skirts Beveridge Park before heading down to the Fife Coastal Path at Kirkcaldy Esplanade and heading east to Ravenscraig Park. The route is mostly on paved surfaces. Route details here.

You need to bring your own bike, helmet, appropriate clothing and water if you need it. Please note that the finish time is approximate.

There are 11 more Beach of Dreams stages that you can join in by either walking or cycling and each event is free of charge. See Eventbrite and the FCCT website for details and how to book.

Afterwards you'll have the opportunity to see the Beach of Dreams sculptures on display at Ravenscraig Walled Gardens – and have your say on Fife coastlines and beaches at Coastal Connections - Climate Conversations

Beach of Dreams

Beach of Dreams is a UK-wide coastal arts festival that explores the unique heritage, culture and climate future of our coastline. Fife Coast and Countryside Trust are delighted that Fife is the Scottish location for this creative programme. Presented by Kinetika, Beach of Dreams sees acclaimed and emerging artists commissioned UK-wide to create works to help local communities connect with the natural environment.

In Fife, artist Julie Brook will create a tidal sculpture from locally sourced materials, inspired by walks along the Fife coastline and talks with residents and artists. She will also lead workshops with local schools and community groups in partnership with ArtMovesFife.

Important Information

Please note that this is a one-way bike ride. There is ample car parking at Seafield Beach. Kirkcaldy is well served by buses, including express buses to/from Leven, and Kirkcaldy railway station is 1.5 miles away.
