Climate Festival Picnic
Event Information
Join our Climate Festival Picnic!
A relaxed afternoon for all the family at the YMCA Gallatown Hub in Kirkcaldy.
We’ll have plant-based treats from local businesses for you to try.
We’ll share some recipes and ideas over the course of the Fife Climate Festival in June, and if you’re feeling inspired you can show off your cooking skills and bring something to share with others.
Expect a relaxed event, with chance to chat about plant-based food, swap recipes and inspiration, and a chance to ask questions about how what we eat impacts on our environment – local and global! There’s a playpark and a pump track, so bring bikes and scooters and other wheels if that’s fun for you!
This is an outdoor event in the YMCA Community Garden and Wild Play Space… unless the weather is bad, in which case we will retreat indoors to the YMCA Hub Cafe.
What to bring
A picnic blanket to sit on (if you like that sort of thing).
Some plant-based/vegan food to eat yourself or share with others.
Your own plate, fork and spoon if you can to try our sample food.
A box to take home any leftovers!
Access
There is parking on site.
There are accessible toilets in the Hub.
There are benches in the outside space and plenty of seating inside the Hub.
