Autumn Scything Workshop

Event Information
Strathmiglo Conservation Community are holding a scything day in the village as part of our grassland management plan to cut back the meadow areas that we manage (Wildflower Meadow at the Public Hall and the Butterfly Meadow off Bankwell Crescent).
All are welcome, from expert scythers to those who have never had a go and are just interested. Tuition, guidance and scythes will be available for anyone wanting to give it a go.
The day will run from 10 until 2 and you are welcome to come along at any time and stay for as long as you want. There is a lot of grass to cut so there will always be some work for you to do and the more hands to help out the better. It will also be a great opportunity to come along and learn more about our group and conservation in general.
If you intend to come along please let us know as we hope to offer some refreshments so it would be good to get an idea of numbers.
