Luna the Moongazing Moth
Event Information
On Thursday 23rd November, a giant, glow-in-the-dark moth will be fluttering into Kirkcaldy. Celebrate the work of Climate Action Fife with us and have a closer look at the moon through Luna the Moongazing Moth's telescope.
This five-metre sculpture sits on an electric cargo bike, with a powerful telescope mounted to her frame. She’s touring the country to promote the work of community projects funded through The National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund. This fund supports local groups across the UK taking action to tackle climate change.
Luna moths use the moon for navigation. Gaze into Luna’s onboard telescope for an awe-inspiring glimpse of the moon’s surface. We hope you will leave the event inspired to help protect the environment and become more active in local projects.
Luna is visiting Kirkcaldy Esplanade from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. As well as meeting Luna and taking part in a bit of moongazing, you can take part in fun activities. Suitable for all ages.
