Saltmarsh Superstars- Plant Propagation

Saltmarsh Superstars- Plant Propagation

Event Information

Get hands on helping a Habitat Restoration Project.

Saltmarshes are fantastic habitat, protect coastline, store carbon and they are in danger!

The Green Shores project is working to restore Saltmarsh habitat in the Tay & Eden Estuaries and in Dornoch firth. We are growing plants on in our Plant hub near St Andrews to use to help restore and replace eroded saltmarshes. In this session you can help increase our plant stocks, getting them ready to be planted out and start protecting our coastlines from erosion, while learning about saltmarsh and it's importance.

please email greenshores@st-andrews.ac.uk to book your space. The event is free but numbers are limited.

We will meet on the bike path opposite the Balgove Larder (what three words ///freely.mimic.comet) and walk approx 15 min to the Plant Hub, which is tucked away between the Eden golf course and the estuary.
