Sakura Cherry Tree Party
Event Information
The Sakura Cherry Tree Party is free for all to attend and marks the culmination of planting of the cherry trees in parks across Fife.
As part of the celebrations you can try Japanese crafts such as origami and calligraphy. And the party includes haiku writing and readings, dance and music, nature and climate-related activities.

- Refreshments including celebratory cake
- Sashito Japanese stitching drop-in
- Origami – come and make a star for your Christmas tree
- Furoshiki present-wrapping demonstration
- Japanese traditional dancing – including Bon Odori which is like a Japanese ceilidh dance
- Bonsai trees
- Japanese dress up area
- Nature/tree haiku writing and sharing
