Fife Climate Hub Gathering 2026
Event Information
The Fife Climate Hub is thrilled to welcome our Fife Communities Climate Action Network (FCCAN) Members to the 2026 Annual Gathering, a dynamic day designed to celebrate, connect, and empower the people driving climate action across Fife.
This year, we’re embracing an Unconference format—an open, participatory style that centres the voices, concerns, and passions of our members. With 80–100 attendees expected, the Gathering will offer a vibrant, collaborative space where our own community’s expertise leads the way. By bringing together our members around their topics of interest, we can strengthen existing, and empower new, circles of interest within our network.
The event is free for all registered FCCAN Members, with morning coffee & pastries, and a fully plant-based lunch provided.
When: March 19th, 2026. 11am-5pm
Where: The Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy
Who: This event is exclusively for FCCAN members.
Your Next Steps:
- Register to claim your seat at our 2026 Gathering
- Vote for the topics you would be most interested in discussing, or add in new topics to the mix
- Leading up to the event, consider how engaging with other FCCAN Members around important topics could help build your capacity to handle the climate issues you face. Engage with our Gathering posts on Social Media to kick off these conversations early!
- Get ready for our event on March 19, which will include:
- Live voting on topics & themes
- Table-based discussions convening FCCAN Members around the topics that gain the most votes
- Building one-on-one connections with FCCAN Members, both broadening your network and deepening your partnerships
Together, we are shaping the future of community-led climate action in Fife. The 2026 Gathering is more than an event—it’s a chance to celebrate our collective strengths, amplify our shared voice, and co-create circles of knowledge that the Hub can facilitate long after the event has concluded, to ensure that the impact of this event is sustained. We look forward to welcoming you for a day of inspiration, collaboration, and member-led innovation.
Learn More About Our Unconference Format
In our role as a Hub, we have seen that the most meaningful climate solutions emerge from the people working directly within their communities. That’s why this year’s Gathering invites attendees to vote on the topics they most want to explore, ensuring discussions reflect the issues that matter most to them. Your ideas, experiences, and priorities will shape the day’s sessions—because as a hub, our role is to unite and uplift the powerful changemakers in our region, not to dictate the path forward. You are the experts, and this event is built around your leadership.
The Unconference format is gaining popularity, being used recently by The Net Zero Institute, Chatham House, and Imperial College London, among many others.
This design also opens the door for stronger partnership building across Fife’s climate network. Through open sessions, peer-led discussions, and opportunities to share challenges and solutions, members will have space to spark new collaborations and deepen existing relationships. Whether you’re looking to exchange practical tools, connect with groups working on similar challenges, or explore innovative approaches to resilience, the Gathering will offer fertile ground for meaningful connection.
